What is lake tapping? Why does it take place?
Lake tapping is a process where a tunnel is pierced at the bottom of a lake by blasting dynamite. This allows the lake water to flow down with a great force from the tunnel. Basically, lake tapping tries to use the ‘unusable’ or ‘Dead Stock’ in the lake. Lake tapping is done for various reasons:
  1. To generate electricity
  2. To completely drain the lake
  3. For making drinking water available
