Green energy can be obtained from various sources like wind, water, sunlight, biomass, biofuels, geo-thermal heat etc. Thus, these can be called as green energy sources. Green energy does not cause pollution. Hence, it can be called as ‘clean’ energy. Green energy sources are renewable and virtually inexhaustible. Which means that they are naturally replenished over a period of time.
