The advantages of solar energy are as follows:

  4. Solar power plants are inexpensive to maintain.
However, there are some limitations in the use of solar energy:
  1. The availability of solar energy is not constant. There are daily, seasonal as well as climatic variations in the availability of solar energy.
  2. Solar panels occupy considerable space.
  3. The initial cost of the solar panels is very high.
